Upstream Efforts was born from a love of the ocean and spearfishing. I truly love every part of the hunt and strive to perfect every step of the process.

For me, harvesting a fish is just the beginning of the experience. Preserving the meat and sharing a meal with family and friends is just as meaningful as the hunt itself. There is nothing fresher and more satisfying than eating sashimi off one of my boards just moments after bringing a fish out of the water.

Like most people, I spend several hours preparing two to three meals a day in the kitchen. Having a quality cutting board crafted from hardwoods that grew right here in Virginia makes chopping and preparing food something I look forward to.

I hope to help others enjoy every part of the process in this tradition I love and owe so much.
